Here we go, the countdown is on (well nearly) to Christmas. Lots of festive events coming up within the village so be sure to put them all in your diary.
Here at The Crown we have Gin Club this Thursday the 16th. £10 gets you a sample of the new craft gin along with a few cocktails. If you would like to join us please do and if you are staying for the two course set dinner for £13 please let us know before hand. Saturday the 18th sees the return of Open Mic from 7.30pm. Come along and show your support to the talented people that get up and entertain us. If you would like to join in then please contact Dik Hoogmoed at Capel Open Mic on Facebook. Saturday the 25th is Bob and Judy’s annual Musical Quiz from 8pm. If you would like a table then please let us know in advance. Tuesday the 28th is The Crown monthly quiz. Dinner starts at 6pm and the quiz starts at 7pm. Teams of 4 compete to see who will have bragging rights for the month (and a voucher to spend with us at a later date). £2 entry per person with all proceeds going to the months charity.
In the village we have Dine and Bingo tomorrow night, eyes down at 7.30pm. Dinner and a bingo book £10, bring your own drinks. On Saturday the 18th it’s The Capel Christmas Fair from 12:00-16:00pm. Why not pop along for your Christmas gift ideas. And get ready for the 2nd of December when it is Christmas Tree day in the Church yard. Decorations to be put on in the morning and then the tree lighting will be about 5pm that evening. Mulled wine and Hot Chocolate will be available to help keep you warm while the carols are sung.
