It’s full steam ahead this May, with the Coronation of King Charles III, this weekend. Lots of things on for the week, starting with Flix in the Stix tomorrow night at 7.30pm. It is a showing of Empire of Light, tickets cost £6 each. Set dinner is available from 6pm at The Crown. Please book in so we have enough for everyone. Thursday the 4th is the village luncheon. By now you should have let Sally Wyborn or Pat Morgan know you are coming and what your lunch choice is. Options are Coronation Chicken or Coronation Quiche(v). The Stoolball club will be organising the desserts this month. Friday the 5th sees the return of Capel’s Got Talent at the village hall from 7.30pm. Tickets selling out fast via www.capelboxofice.co.uk £10 per adult or £25 for a family ticket. There will be a bar available as well. Saturday 6th May is Coronation Day, and we start with Breakfast at the village hall (bacon rolls and bubbles) before showing the Coronation live on the big screen. Limited number of spaces available so please book with Sally Wyborn or Mandy Schryver. Then at 4pm there will be afternoon teas in The Crown £13.95 each please make sure you have booked in advance. There will also be live music with Sally Cranham taking us on a singalong through the decades. We are also going to trial opening on Bank holiday Mondays from 3pm-7pm (no kitchen). So let’s hope the sun comes out and shines for us.
