What’s on in July

Whew, another great weekend for our little village. Well done to the Organisers of Capel Military Show and all the volunteers across the weekend.
Next up we have a charity fundraising event at Treetops on Saturday 16th July. A full day of live music to raise funds for Myeloma UK. No tickets required but a donation on the gate of £10 is recommend. Let’s get out and support live music and a charity that is close to home.
This week is Flix in the Stix at the village hall on Tuesday. The movie showing is The Duke. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start, tickets £5 each. We will have a 2 course meal for £12.50 available from 6-8pm if you would like dinner before you go.
The village luncheon is on Thursday the 7th, please contact Pat Morgan or Sally Wyborn to book your place and order your meal.
Capel Market is back the 16th and 30th of July. Come down and support the local businesses who set up. Fresh and dried fruit and nuts, cookie whimmsey, Capel creations, bramble cottage and more.
Our quiz night is Tuesday the 12th starting at 7pm. 2 course dinner available from 6pm for £12.50 this month is taste of Mexico. Teams of 4 people £2 entry each with all money going towards the monthly charity. Winning team gets a £5 food and drink voucher each and bragging rights for the month.
Gin Club is on Thursday the 21st July, £10 entry for sample gin and a few cocktails. 2 course dinner for £12.50 is optional, we will be serving a Catalan Fish/seafood Stew (yummy).
Open Mic is back with us Saturday 23rd July, come down and join in or just come down and enjoy the evening. Starts at 7.30pm.
Last but not least keep an eye out for details about August Bank Holiday Blues festival. We are just sorting out the final times and orders for the weekend. Tickets will be £10 and include either a drink or the available food option.
