Whats on @crowncapel

Greetings from over the rainbow bridge ?. It’s been one week since I gained my wings, and I’m already helping. Archie Hough let me into the kitchen to help get all da fishies n chippies ready for the other pups on Friday. I showed dem how to do the special batter with beer and everyone says it’s sooo good. I miss my hoomans and know they miss me too, but don’t be too sad as I’ve been tormenting John Cooper and my ugly sisters and having a ball playing with Reggie and Indy. My hoomans would like to say a big thank you for all the kind words and cards from you all. They have decided to be puppy free for a short time and then will look at doing some fostering before getting a new doglet. In the meantime they are keeping busy with events and things for you to all join in and enjoy at the pub. Word has it that man Boris is opening the country up from the 19th July, so party on down. Also what a performance from those football lads (not quite as good as me ?), into the final for the first time since 1966. We will be showing the final, but have limited availability as unfortunately you still have to be sat down, so please make sure you book in. The Chinese van will be here for pre match food as well. Quiz night is Tuesday the 13th from 6.30pm, come down and enjoy some banter about our knowledge (or lack thereof). It’s also Taco Tuesday, lovely Mexican food and margaritas. Yummy. The Capel Market is in the carpark every 2nd Saturday, next one is the 17th and 31st July. Farm to fork fresh groceries, herbs and spices, artisan cookies, flowers, and many others. Starts 8.30am – 11.30am and the pub is open for coffee and cakes as well. Gin Club this month is Thursday 22nd from 6.30pm. This month our charity is Chones and Colitis Uk, so we will be holding a coffee morning on Wednesday the 28th in aid of this. And most importantly is the No Years Eve party on the 31st. This is so we can celebrate all the birthdays, anniversaries etc that was missed during lockdown. (Oh I do hope they send some balloons up in the air for me). Tickets are £30 each, with canapés on arrival, a light supper, bubbles to cheers with and a 5 piece dance band. Tickets available from www.capelboxoffice.co.uk and once you have got them contact us at the pub to arrange your table reservation. In the meantime I’m off to go explore some more (torment the others hahaha). Love to you all Gladys Cooper Bullydog Angel xoxox
